The Alumni
This night was one to remember. Weber State opened its season with a game against a group of tough alumni. Al recruited us has beens for a night of some true fun! I was so excited but had no idea how game like it was going to be. It was a real match! You know your old when you get excited to have a new volleyball shirt with your old number on the back! We had the shirts, and we had to wear spandex. Lovely. LOL. We had warmups, and ref's, and line judges, and music, and announcers who gave the play by play using our old and new last names, it was so funny to hear! We stood at the end lines for the anthem, and threw balls into the crowd as we were each introduced. Then we went on to play the match. We took the first game, then the other six played and we dropped a game, we ended up losing 3-1 but I had so much fun. Most of the alumni were from my year so it was almost my old team! So FUN. Made me realize how lucky I was to play in college. It was good seeing all of you and playing with you again! I think we still got it! :)
